The NBA says Vince Carter listen to music during warmups.
The Toronto Raptors star was informed by the NBA that he no longer can listen to music on his iPod during the 20-minute warmup period before each game. Carter recently started listening to the music on his headphones, a violation of the league’s rules on proper attire.
Although inconsequential, the NBA’s decision strikes my as altogether backward. As a point of prognostication I suppose we are moving toward and age of augmented reality. I envision an era where workaday existence is supplemented by continuous customizable media.
Our rose-tinted glasses will arrive soundtrack included.
