But Stephanie Mencimer nails the arguments of Reformer articles:
Newsweek, after all, gave the erroneous impression that the vast majority of lawsuits were over such things as softball injuries and hugs from friendly ministers, not car accidents, which indeed make up the bulk of all tort lawsuits.

I think it’s more accurate to say that Mencimer gave the impression that Newsweek gave that impression. Those of us who can read for ourselves understand otherwise.
Mencimer takes the position that no media organization can write pro or con tort reform without providing a list of every lawsuit they or an affiliate have ever been involved in. Mm-hm.
