The biggest news of all big news has come down the pipe.
Its bigger than Jesus, and Bhudda better watch his back.
According to USA Today, Fox might be bringing bring back the Family Guy.
They say it could be back January 2005 with a run of 35 new episodes.
Apparently it was strong DVD sales that done it:
A DVD set of the show’s first 28 episodes released in April has sold nearly 1 million copies, making it this year’s top-selling TV show and the No. 4 television title ever…
The article makes an interesting point about cartoons. Most shows have sets, crews and casts. Bringing all that back would be prohibitively costly. A cartoon just has writers and voices. They outsource the animation to Korea or some such. Its easier to do this with Family Guy than, say, the live action Tick.
We can only hope, hope, hope, and hope that this all works out. It will be good for everyone. The whole nation can rejoice. The whole world would no longer need be sad.
Please Fox, let us laugh again, for the first time.
